Dubai International Seafood Expo, UAE
The Dubai International Seafood Expo is an annual event that takes place in the month of October at the Jumeirah International, Dubai. This expo is organized by Orange Fairs and Events, a locally based event management firm. The DISF started in the year 2007, and while it is a relatively new event, it has already caught the attention of the world, with seafood distributors and suppliers from a number of different countries attending the event.
This event is an opportunity for international seafood traders to enter the Middle East market, where there is a large demand for seafood with over 200 million seafood consumers in this region alone. In the past, the Dubai International Seafood Expo has been a great success, with hundreds of exhibitors setting up stalls to display theirproducts, ideas and concepts. There are a number of different categories of exhibitors, ranging from fishmongers, who set up display counters, to 
producers of aquariums, seafood washing machines, furnishing providers, purification system manufacturers and even gourmet chefs preparing seafood delicacies.
Visitors to this exhibition come from a number of different backgrounds like food and beverage professionals, hotels, catering executives, supermarket chain representatives, wholesalers, suppliers, distributors, exporters and importers, government representatives, processors, transporters and many more. Participants in the DISF have the chance to make business contacts, meet potential clients, discuss and analyze various trends in the industry and have a better understanding of the government legislation and various challenges affecting the seafood market in the Middle East.
